When addressing Filipino history and culture, one must keep in mind that there are a myriad of different issues and considerations. This site is not intended as a complete reference for Filipino history and culture, but rather a primer--an introduction from which deeper investigations are begun.

This is not the end but rather a beginning.

Hopefully, you, the viewer, will be motivated to learn more about the Philippines, especially if you are of Filipino descent and know very little about your history.

Filipinos can be found all over the United States, thanks to a long history of immigration. As such, the topic of Filipinos living in "their adopted country" is a pertinent one. But in order to truly know Filipino culture, one must go back to the past.
